Successful office furniture install for growing Leeds business


Project background

The Gritting Company is a well-established and increasingly successful winter maintenance specialist, based in Leeds but servicing clients the length and breadth of the UK. It is a division of J.W. Crowther & Son Ltd, a family-run business started 155 years ago.

The team contacted Fraser Projects when they required an interim office refurbishment solution to ensure best utilisation of their short term location until their new group offices are completed.

The brief

In search of high quality, UK manufactured office furniture that was durable, yet cost effective, The Gritting Company was on the lookout for desking and seating for 10 workstations, plus furniture for two meeting rooms and intelligent office storage. Ideally General Manager Faye Doherty wanted to work with a local supplier, with a family run feel, to reflect Crowther’s own ethos and heritage.

In stepped Fraser Projects…

Located only a couple of miles up the road in Leeds, Fraser Projects was ideally positioned to visit The Gritting Company’s working environment, to carry out a full space audit. Having assessed the client’s requirements and budget, office furniture consultant Tom Fraser prepared a scale drawing to recommend the optimum office furniture layout, before showcasing some of the products on offer.

Faye then visited Fraser Projects’ nearby Leeds office furniture showroom, to see, touch and try the products for herself, before assessing colour swatches and finalising their selection.

And now?

The office furniture has been successfully installed within this busy office, on time and to budget. They were so pleased with the dark wooden desking, not to mention the great level of service provided, that they ordered further desks for their other office and have plans to get Fraser Projects back in the future.
